About Carol Sue Witt
I have enjoyed being a student and teacher of watercolor painting for quite some time. I not only had excellent instructors but I have also painted alongside some amazing artists. Juried shows in Missouri and Texas brought excellent suggestions and some notoriety and I have listened and learned . This is a practiced skill, an obsession, a passion and a privilege for me.
I have served on grant commissions for the arts, I have been President of the Austin Watercolor Group, and am a signature member of Texas Watercolor Society. I enjoy doing demos and teaching one day work shops in the Austin area. I paint daily in my wonderful home studio in Austin using my experience to create everyday scenes often of life in Texas.
Many ask me where my talent comes from....maybe my Sicilian grandfather who immigrated to America and was a successful stone mason. All of his grandchildren are somewhat artistic. But since I think a lot of art is confidence, I’ll give my parents credit. They gave me the confidence to share my art with everyone. I hope you will enjoy it.
